Hops has a long and proven history of herbal use, mainly because of its sedative effects on the body and mind.

    Cultivation and Propagation
Hops from Seeds of the Gods like well drained soil at least 50 cm (20 inches) deep. The soil should be rich or the food level high otherwise the vine will remain small. This fast growing vine likes plenty of water, except for the period of time between germination and the first sets of leaves. In that time it likes to be dry.The vines must be supported on sturdy trellises.

    Harvesting
The hop vines will produce flower cones, this is the part that will be harvested. Harvest season is when the cones have had some time to dry out on the vine. To tell if the hops are ready to harvest squeeze the cone gently with your fingers. Ideally it will feel light and springy, with a sticky sap coming out of it.
