The trend of vaporizers

At this point, who doesn’t know what a vaporizer is? The issue is that while its use has become widespread in many parts of the world, here we still remain reluctant to one of the healthiest ways to consume cannabis that exists.

No matter how many times it has been repeated in specialized publications and cannabis portals that the vaporizer is the healthy alternative for consuming marijuana, people still prefer combustion.

Unlike other countries, where consumption has become much more common among users, in Spain it seems to be increasing as we grow older (not to mention other things).

When your health concerns you and you want to lead a healthy lifestyle, minimizing harmful and detrimental agents that we introduce into our bodies is fundamental. It’s understandable that at some point we may want to combust, but vaporization should become our main ally when consuming cannabis.

What are vaporizers?

For those who still don’t know, vaporizers are those peculiar machines of all sizes, shapes, and colors that heat plant material (and in some cases extracts) to evaporate its active ingredients without burning them. This vapor contains no carbon monoxide, tar, or carcinogenic substances from combustion, and does not cause irritation to the lungs or chronic bronchitis.

In fact, when we burn marijuana, 88% of that smoke has nothing to do with the active principles of marijuana, and a considerable part of the cannabinoids in the plant are destroyed during the combustion process. However, when we talk about vaporizing, 95% of the vapor is cannabinoids and the other 5% consists of a small portion of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and caryophyllene, an essential oil found in cannabis and other plants that is non-toxic.

The ideal is to vaporize THC between 155 and 165°C, CBD between 165 and 185°C, and CBN between 180 and 190°C. CBC and THCV should be vaporized at very high temperatures, between 210 and 230°C.

There’s no doubt that once we’ve decided to stop combustion (or at least reduce it), one of the most complicated questions is what vaporizer to buy. Although we still don’t see many people using vaporizers in public, there is a considerable market and different types of vaporizers according to user needs.

To make a broad distinction that clarifies things a bit, on one side are the larger vaporizers that are usually made to remain in our consumption spot; and on the other side are the smaller and portable vaporizers that usually cater to the possibility of taking them with you.

Which vaporizers do we recommend from EDABEA?

Among the recommended "home" vaporizers is a classic such as the Volcano, one of the most renowned vaporizers in the market. Volcano can boast of being one of the first to revolutionize the world of vapor and to have first-rate German manufacturing. Moreover, the company Storz & Bickel was one of the first to release a medicinal version of this vaporizer aimed exclusively at medicinal patients and hospitals.

If you prefer to take your vaporizer with you everywhere, the current offerings are very wide: from Da Vinci and Ascent, both good vaporizers, especially the latter, as the vapor passes through several glass pieces with no contact with plastics or other questionable materials; to Iolite or WISPR 2, both very practical as they heat up using butane gas; moving on to Arizer Solo, another glass to glass which is probably the best quality-price ratio on the market; or Mighty and Crafty, the two great bets by Storz & Bickel in the portable vaporizer market.

Whatever your option, make sure to buy an original vaporizer from a trusted store. Don’t fall for the bargains you find online, most likely you will end up buying a copy and endangering your health.
